Security Council briefing notes (2023–2024)

Human rights violations are an early warning of conflict. They are a threat to peace and security. But information on human rights is often missing in Security Council deliberations. So HRLO distilled it into concise notes. This work was made possible thanks to the generous donation of the Jacob Blaustein Institute for the Advancement of Human Rights and the Leo Nevas Family Foundation.

Human rights inputs across the Council's agenda: country situations including Afghanistan, Sudan, South Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Haiti, Yemen, Mali, Libya, Somalia, the DRC and DPRK, and thematic files including women, peace and security; children and armed conflict; and food insecurity.
